Check out this heart-warming episode of the Billabong Home Series which features Pacha Light as she recalls her childhood in the Andes of Ecuador. This video sheds light on Pacha's deep-rooted connection with nature, family, culture, and of course, the ocean. She walks through the jungles of Ecuador with pride and humbleness, showing us parts of Ecuador that are sacred to her and her family. She takes us to the property of her very first homemade out of wood, mud, and sugar cane leaves. She says, "It's one of the best memories of my childhood" in reference to the simplicity of living with no electricity. Then, she introduces the Pacific waves that she often got all to herself when she was younger.

Pacha Light is a unique and awe-inspiring woman which is why we featured her in our very first issue 'Rumble in the Jungle'. After watching this video, head over to our online shop, get a hold of Rumble in the Jungle and read through our interview with Pacha to learn more about the start of her surfing career, her adventurous spirit, and her appreciation for mother earth! Cheers!

Our “Home” series takes us all around the world, and is a deeper dive into the unique stories each one of our surfers has to tell—celebrating their families, cultures, and countries while we’re at it. -Billabong
